framing

I was so inspired by Design Mom recently. I took photographs of some of my artwork and got two pieces beautifully framed at Framebridge.

They turned out so perfectly, I am kicking myself that it took me this long! Do you have things lying around that you would like to frame? Do it! They will help you mail in original artwork or work with photographs to get a beautiful, professional, finished look.

And a hand-written thank you note. Amazing!

food trees

Food trees! They remind me of how my daughter loves to eat broccoli only because they look like tiny trees. I would probably eat anything off of these.

I saw them on Anthopology and you can buy them here.

So much fun!!

drop box

Have you heard about drop box? I just found out about this insanely awesome service. Their UI design is fantastic. So simple and so easy to navigate. LOVE IT!!! If you need storage space for your business or personal use, you should definitely use drop box. And I'm not being paid to say that (but I kind of wish I were!)

I love all the white space on their website and the simplicity of use. Great service and great design. Hooray!

wall calendars

These calendars take the meaning of wall calendars to a whole new level. I love them all. They are a visual expression of how my brain works. I'm organized to a fault and have a calendar brain.

This is a do-it-yourself project from Martha Stewart. Of course! I wish I had the time and an extra wall.

Dry-erase vinyl wall stickers make up this calendar. This is what my office looks like. In my mind.

Interior design from Pinch Design. Yummy.

Special thanks to my mother-in-law for pointing me to this blog post about calendars. She knows me well.

small spaces

It can be hard to fit all of your stuff into a small apartment but when it's done well, it's inspiring. Here are a few ideas to make it easier to live in a small space.

The porch-size grill. OK, so this is a European product and is probably against every condo association's by-laws but how cute is that?! I adore it.

The stroller door handle. Brilliant and easy. My only concern is the stroller wheel dirt getting on the door. My door is a dark stained wood so no problem there!

The tiny shared bedroom. This is a problem I will be facing next year! I love the ideas found on this blog. I can only hope our solution will be so elegant!

chalkboard planters

I saw this DIY post on design sponge and I was totally inspired! Of course, I don't have a lot of things that need planting, nor do I have a lot of space for things that need planting. But if I did, I would totally attempt this not-too-scary DIY chalkboard planter idea.

So cool, right??

labels

Sending your child to daycare, school, or summer camp involves more labels that you can possibly imagine. Everything needs a label - every article of clothing, backpack, sippy cup, lunch box, bathing suit, towel... basically everything your kid owns! I heard about Mabel's Labels a while back from Design Mom (love her) and I adore these labels. They go through the laundry with no problem and I love the colors and design options.

organization

I saw this on Design Mom and thought it was brilliant. I went out and bought multi-colored binder clips for this very purpose. It works great! If my desk were cleaner I would even photograph them as proof. For now you will have to take my word for it.
