I've said it before, and I'll say it again. It's wonderful to have in-laws in such a beautiful part of the world. I'm just getting back in the swing of things after a lovely 2-week stay. Enjoy the view!

I'm enjoying a 2 week vacation at my in-laws' house in Mexico. Amazing food, perfect weather, lots of extra people around to entertain my children... It's going to be hard to leave!

I'm back from the peace and tranquility of the Adirondacks. I haven't had time to go through all my photos carefully but here are a few of my early favorites.

vacation time

Tonight we are packing up and heading out for a 6 hour drive to the Adirondacks. Please cross your fingers that this goes smoothly!

Once we get there we will be eating too much, reading, taking walks in the woods, and maybe even climbing the mountain to peer down on our cabin.

off to mexico

It's that time of the year. We are packing up to head to my in-law's house in Guadalajara, Mexico. I highly recommend having in-laws in beautiful, warm places. It's the best.

peace and quiet

I am on vacation next week. I will be relaxing peacefully in a cabin on a lake in the adirondacks. It will be cool enough for jeans and sweatshirts at night. I have a stack of books to read and plan on good food, card games, hiking, swimming, and general silliness.

Here are some Martha Stewart desserts in celebration of our nation's independence. Does anyone have time to make things that are this beautiful and edible too? I don't, but I do like to admire them.

It's good to have a peaceful place to rest my eyes on a crazy day like today. It's a juggling act and I'm not sure I can catch everything. How is it that after a peaceful 3-day weekend I seem to need another 3-day weekend to recuperate? Vacations are addictive.
