Check out these playing cards featuring helvetica. They were designed by Ryan Myers and you can find them here.
The best present ever for a type nerd! It's not a hint, I'm just stating a fact.

If typography and nature aren't for you, take a look at these gorgeous illustrated pattern calendars. Yum.
This is from Linda & Harriet. I love the patterns and the simplified color palette. Very pretty.
These are from Smock Paper. I adore the bright colors. Delicious!

I have so much to be thankful for this year. I am truly humbled by how blessed I have been.
In no particular order here are some of the things I am extremely grateful for:
- Healthy and happy children.
- A devoted and extremely supportive husband. I'm still not sure how I got him but I'm not letting go!
- Pumpkin pie. With maple syrup in it.
- Ski season!
- Having the job I want and having a flexible schedule.
- Amazing friends and family. I love you all.
PS These photos were taken by our friend James of James Wang Photography. You should hire him to do a family photo shoot. It's really the best idea ever.

It's 2012 calendar time. Are you ready for the world to end? I'm willing to invest in a gorgeous calendar of the entire year, just in case we're still around after May. Here's hoping.

My daughter has recently shown an interest in photography. And by photography I mean grabbing my camera and taking pictures at random. Despite my inner voice shouting "yikes! don't drop it! and don't get your sticky fingers on the lens!" I managed to let her take some photos all by herself during recent trips to my in-laws house and my parents house. I can honestly say I really appreciate looking at the world from her perspective.
Pretty awesome, right?

In case you were wondering what to do with all your free time. Here are fun typographical ways to waste your time...
I particularly enjoy the kerning game. It appeals to my meticulous (neurotic?) nature. Enjoy!

The foliage in New England this year has been muted and a little sad. I had fun looking for inspiring, vibrant, and warm tones on flickr. Enjoy!

Food trees! They remind me of how my daughter loves to eat broccoli only because they look like tiny trees. I would probably eat anything off of these.
So much fun!!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. It's wonderful to have in-laws in such a beautiful part of the world. I'm just getting back in the swing of things after a lovely 2-week stay. Enjoy the view!
I only wish I had found more time for photography. Next time I'm bringing my real camera!

I'm enjoying a 2 week vacation at my in-laws' house in Mexico. Amazing food, perfect weather, lots of extra people around to entertain my children... It's going to be hard to leave!
I will post more photos when I get back. They have the most beautifully decorated home!

Take a look at these divine, minimalist, posters based on children's stories. I think they are so beautiful and just the tiniest bit creepy. In a good way.

I've noticed a lot of amazing greeting cards recently. Here are a few favorites.
Gilah Press - I love the neon ink and the simple typographic design.
Printerette - So clever and bright and fun!
Satsuma - They have such a great collection of gorgeous, simple, letterpress cards. These flowers are my favorite.
