A few weeks ago my friend Beth asked me what my least favorite fonts are. I could only think of Comic Sans in that moment. It turns out I don't have a lot of font hate. I do, however, have a lot of font love. My favorite font has been a favorite for a while now. Scala Sans.
Her question got me thinking about how I determine which fonts I love. When I was working on my resume I spent a lot of time looking at the letter J. I love when the uppercase J does not have a cross on top. It looks clean and simple and elegant. It looks very natural that it descends below the baseline just as it does when I'm writing my name.
When I started my company I immediately went to scala sans for my logo and identity. It's versatile, quiet, and modern. Check out the G in my blog header. Does it get any better than that?? Really.
