Yes, I'm iphone obsessed. But have you seen anything as gorgeous as these cases? They are made by a company called Grove and I can't get enough of them. They have amazing options for the ipad too. So cool!

They're not cheap but they're stunning. And they're hand made by a super cool company in Oregon. What more could you ask for?

Last year I wrote about our portrait of Freckles... this year I ordered a portrait of Monster. He is Nadia's constant companion.

Jennifer Maher does great work and I can't wait to order our next portrait. Maybe it will be Matias' first lovey. So far he's happy stuffing his fist in his mouth but surely he will advance to the lovey stage soon.

judging wine

I love this blog post about the merits of choosing wine solely on the appearance of the label. I have long been a proponent of this strategy for selecting a bottle of wine. I'm not a big wine drinker (obviously?) but my strict standards for label appearance have rubbed off on my husband. He brought home this Line 39 cabernet knowing I would appreciate its simplicity and the carefully overlapping numbers.

My taste falls squarely in the Graphic Design Student category - about half-way between Letterpress and Indie Designer. What about you?

iphone fun

I've been using instagram - a silly but fun app for the iphone. I like the idea of always having my camera with me and publishing a visual diary. I think the filters are cool at first but they are definitely limited and tend towards a vintage look that might get old. But still, it's good, free fun.

drop box

Have you heard about drop box? I just found out about this insanely awesome service. Their UI design is fantastic. So simple and so easy to navigate. LOVE IT!!! If you need storage space for your business or personal use, you should definitely use drop box. And I'm not being paid to say that (but I kind of wish I were!)

I love all the white space on their website and the simplicity of use. Great service and great design. Hooray!
